4. Read (and leave a comment on) as many of the other blogs you feel you're able to.
Well, despite there being a million and one things to do, I did manage to take some time off over the bank holidays. We went to a car show!
What could've been a bit of a blokey look at engines and stuff (yawn...)
turned into a really inspiring and enjoyable day. I spotted a few campervans (well, of course!)
but I admired makes other than VW. Isn't this Bedford Dormobile just adorable? I love all the curves!
I admired vintage cars a plenty
and captured lots of images with my camera.
The show has given me lots of ideas to follow up on, some of which might take a while. But I know I'll enjoy the process! Has anything inspired you this week?
Over to you!
I really envy you going around all those old cars and campers and it wasn't raining!
ReplyDeleteThose old cars are so elegant, just beautiful
ReplyDeletei'm glad that the weather held for your outing!
ReplyDeletei bet you had a great time looking around - even though you're not really into cars, i can see why the amazing variety of design must have been very inspiring :)
i look forward to seeing a few car inspired creations over at 1st Unique Gifts in the near future! :)
Love the cars, I think it would probably be one of those things that didn't appeal to me until I got there but I think you can always find something interesting if you look with an open mind and open eyes.
ReplyDeleteWe've just had a week away in Derbyshire and I've come home inspired by all the wild flowers in the fields and hedgerows - not sure where the influence will come out but I have vivid pictures in my mind of the very lovely, soft and fluffy looking countryside.
I think that the Bedford looks really sad! I have had loads of inspiration this week as a friend has leant me some magazines and books leaving my mind buzzing! I look forward to seeing your inspired designs. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how romantic old cars look... and then I remember the suspension and the rain getting in... but yes, I would still love to have a drive in one.
ReplyDeleteCan well see how they will have inspired you... look forward to the Model T plaque :)

Great pictures, lots of inspiration there!
ReplyDeleteOooh those cars are lovely, very romantic (in my eyes anyway :-)) Looking forward to seeing the products of your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI love the old cars and campers, someone suggested the other day that I should have a vintage vehicle for my business and my reply was "No I need a reliable vehicle for my business, I can't be late with their afternoon teas!" I haven't owned a camper van but I did have a boyfriend with one at Uni and can't count the number of times it broke down, and how slow it went! But they are lovely...one day perhaps...
