Handmade Monday 73

Welcome to another Handmade Monday.

This week I've played with beach huts

and owls

but nothing is quite finished yet

so I'm afraid you'll need to wait a little while longer for any ta-dah moments.

At the risk of attracting guffaws of laughter, I remain hopeful that summer will happen in the UK sometime soon (what was that someone said? 2016? Nooo....!!) so I'm stubbornly keeping with the summer themes for now.

So, while the persistent rain, clouds, low temperatures and winds do their best to break our spirit (and much more, in some cases) I'll hand this week's Handmade Monday to you.  Enjoy it!

Just a quick reminder - there aren't many rules:
  • link back to Handmade Harbour somewhere within your actual blog post
  • visit and comment on at least a few of the other participants' blogs
  • only link once per week
  • join in with blogs only (not shops) - although it's ok to link to your shop from your blog post

  1. We'll probably all be using our barbecues at the end of October when we'll have an amazing Indian Summer! I just hope it turns up soon, I want to drink Pimms, not hot chocolate! I love your optimistic little beach huts x

  2. Love the beach huts! PUHLEEEEZE say you were joking - no summers til 2016?

Agree, Penny, Pimms much preferred to hot chocolate with the barbie, though if you leave it til late evening you can pretend it's a camp fire and then the choc will be entirely appropriate!

  6. I love beach huts! I live by the sea and everytime I see something with a beach hut theme it makes me want to take a walk along the promenade at sunset!

I checked the long view forecast because my daughter's birthday is in July and were supposed to be having a Princess Picnic- it did say mostly unsettled throughout July and August- though it said it would be nice the second week of July- I'm crossing my fingers cos that's when her birthday is!

  16. Your beach huts look fantastic. I can't wait to see the finished result. I think the only way we are going to see the sun this summer is if we sew ourselves one. Have a lovely week. Ali x
