Welcome to Handmade Monday.
We've seen some very welcome sunshine this week in Cheshire - I'm hoping the sun has shone on you too, wherever you are (and, possibly more importantly, continues to shine!).
The weather has seemed just right for a summery project or two, hasn't it? And, with summer very firmly in mind, I've spent some time trawling through my holiday snaps for Craftseller magazine this week! The project I'm doing for them needs some photographic images and they asked for summery and quirky...
so my (possibly rather strange) habit of photographing beach huts and campervans has finally come in useful and not just for inspiration!
What have you been doing this week? Feel free to join in with Handmade Monday and
Beach huts, and all sorts around the sea, seem to be such fantastic subjects for photos - I love the fact that you can get such lovely bright colours.

ReplyDeleteOooh i love those stripy doors!! Isn't it lovely when people celebrate their buildings with colourful decoration... i've always fancied a bright pink garden shed - just for fun! :)

ReplyDeleteLovely photos to remind us of summer - and the sun is out today, so everything seems happy. Can't join in with HM this week as completely snowed under at work. WIPs are stacking up and ideas are overflowing! Back soon Ax
ReplyDeleteHasn't it been wonderful to see the sunshine again, if only for a brief period of time. Love the bright colours in your photos.
ReplyDeleteI love the huts, must get down to the coast soon with a camera to take some snaps for some work I have in mind! Can't wait to see the finished piece for craftseller :-)
ReplyDeleteWe have a thing for beach huts and campers too, I think it's because they're so happy! (Mum and Dad restored a VW a few years ago for their festival adventures, and Mum's currently converting our old shed into a 'bottom of the garen / beach hut' too!) Roll on the summer! x
ReplyDeleteA great combination, beach huts and campervans! I have a few photos of those myself. By the way I bought my first copy of The Craftseller Magazine. I loved it. I heard about it through your blog Wendy. It was full of things to make, (your photo frame) and informative too. I will certainly buy next months edition.

Love your seaside interests - we love the same stuff so we can share them! the beach huts are simply pretty to look at - whether is painting, cross stitch, photo or a card. The camper vans have been very trendy in the UK for a while now, they are a symbol of British summer to me!
ReplyDeleteYou're very ahead with your thinking... about summer! I havent gone as far as Easter :) but its mothers day on its way too!
Sunny today and it makes such a big difference to how you feel. I love your pic of the VW - a really great shot. Hope you have a good week.
