Handmade Monday 119

Hello and welcome to another Handmade Monday.

I've been playing with fabric and glue again...

which always seems to me to be such a lovely way of earning money!  I really can't think of any better job, to be quite honest.

The last time I did something similar was this upcycled travel case featured in this month's Craftseller magazine (there's a matching passport holder and luggage tag)

My fabric-covered plant pots are in the same issue (it's in the shops on Tuesday, if you're tempted - it's a great read, as usual).  I love the photography:

Oops... I almost forgot (how could I?!) ... my other news this week is that my new digital crafts website launches tomorrow (Monday) - assuming no technical-type hitches trip me up along the way.  Anything's possible ... but do pop along for a little look, if you have a spare minute or two.  Any feedback will be welcome.

So, what's new in your world?

I just got my Craftseller delivered! your pots look very good in it - the blue is such a good summery look on them. I will be back to check out your new website tomorrow, good luck with launching it! Perhaps we should all have a glass of champagne in it's honour!!

I, too, have had my Craftseller delivered and your upcycled travel case is great. I recognised your beach huts as soon as I saw it! Your plant pots are lovely too.
Good luck for the launch of your new website tomorrow. I'll be popping along to have a look in.
Have a great week.

What I love about your work is it is that it has Wendy Massey running through it, it is so distinctive and always make me think of long Summer days - so happy thoughts. I am looking forward to the new site :)

I really like the combination of the red and white polka dot fabric with the blue - one of my favourite colour combinations. Thank you for hosting Handmade Monday!

Hi Wendy! I'm really sorry, first Handmade Monday and I added the wrong link the first time by mistake. I do apologise and hope you can take it down. At least it links back to you blog post though so you might get some more page views!! Thanks again for hosting :-)

It isn't until you see a bad picture that you realise how important the photography is! I really hope that your big launch goes well for you - how could you forget an event as big as that ;)

Looking forward to seeing your new digital website!

Love the seaside-themed creations - especially the case - gorgeous!

what sort of good fabric glue would your recommend? I can never seem to find the right one.

have had a look round your website - what a great idea with the digi stamps - I really hope it all goes well for you - all seemed to work well and be fairly straightforward to me! - here's hoping my launch goes as well later in the week :) x

Martha: for these, I just used PVA glue - not ideal for every project though because it does seep through. It works well if you want to seal it though, and you can sand it with fine sandpaper for a smoother finish.

Ros: what a lovely comment (thank you!)

Little Crab: hope all goes well!

Emma: welcome to Handmade Monday! You wouldn't be the first to do that - I'll take it down when I have a minute.

Everyone: thanks so much for your lovely comments!

Got my Craftseller and was wowed (as usual) by your two articles! I've also, at last, managed to put the Handmade icon on my blog! Next Pinterest I guess once I can get my head around it! :-) Sue x

The plant pots look almost too good to be used, I wouldn't want them to get dirty :-)
Fingers crossed for tomorrow
