This Christmas in August lark sure has dragged on! I'm not complaining, though ... this is another commission for Craftseller magazine. I needed to make two Christmas cards for them using the free craft papers that they give away with the magazine.
When you are designing using free papers that aren't actually going to be published for a few months yet, they need to email you the papers, which you then of course print before you use them - exactly like using digital stamps and papers, really!
Some commissions are so much fun and this was one of them! I really enjoyed the process of chopping up paper and sticking it in place (it's kind of relaxing and therapeutic, I think). I introduced a bit of depth with some of the elements...
In other news, I'm thrilled with how the design team work for Handmade Harbour is coming together. There's a brand new weekly papercraft challenge started this week - in which I show off the design team's work first, but (a bit like Handmade Monday) anyone is welcome to join in by linking up!
I'm also interviewing the team one by one so you can meet them and find out more. Lynne and Zoe have been interviewed so far with more to come. I just love that this team brings together like-minded people from all over the world. And I love seeing my images becoming a part of someone else's creative project - it's just completely amazing!
Over to you for Handmade Monday!
