This week I've played with beach huts
and owls
but nothing is quite finished yet
so I'm afraid you'll need to wait a little while longer for any ta-dah moments.
At the risk of attracting guffaws of laughter, I remain hopeful that summer will happen in the UK sometime soon (what was that someone said? 2016? Nooo....!!) so I'm stubbornly keeping with the summer themes for now.
So, while the persistent rain, clouds, low temperatures and winds do their best to break our spirit (and much more, in some cases) I'll hand this week's Handmade Monday to you. Enjoy it!
Just a quick reminder - there aren't many rules:
- link back to Handmade Harbour somewhere within your actual blog post
- visit and comment on at least a few of the other participants' blogs
- only link once per week
- join in with blogs only (not shops) - although it's ok to link to your shop from your blog post

We'll probably all be using our barbecues at the end of October when we'll have an amazing Indian Summer! I just hope it turns up soon, I want to drink Pimms, not hot chocolate! I love your optimistic little beach huts x
Love the beach huts! PUHLEEEEZE say you were joking - no summers til 2016?
Agree, Penny, Pimms much preferred to hot chocolate with the barbie, though if you leave it til late evening you can pretend it's a camp fire and then the choc will be entirely appropriate!
2016? No! Although not a lover of the heat this is positively Autumnal, I'm with Lynne hot choccie
such lovely beach huts! and in my fav colours too :)
perhaps Summer is a state of mind :) xxx
I've scared you all, haven't I? Sorry! 2016 was just a joke in poor taste ;-)
I love beach huts! I live by the sea and everytime I see something with a beach hut theme it makes me want to take a walk along the promenade at sunset!

I checked the long view forecast because my daughter's birthday is in July and were supposed to be having a Princess Picnic- it did say mostly unsettled throughout July and August- though it said it would be nice the second week of July- I'm crossing my fingers cos that's when her birthday is!
Loving the freehand embroidery on the beach huts... it such good fun to do. I try to hide my unfinished projects... cannot stand the guilt! :)
I love the beach huts and the owl's gorgeous!Us Brits can celebrate summer no matter what the weather!

You're a tease, wonder what the finished items will look like. Lovely as usual!
Ah can't wait for the big reveal! Looks great so far!!
Excited to see the finished product! I wonder whether we have already had summer - remember the hot spell in March/April? xx
Looking forward to the big reveal, I love beach huts! Have just returned from the seaside and any shop I visited had beach hut themed products ... very "in" at the moment!
Looking forward to seeing the finished product Wendy. Beach huts are a firm favourite with me and owls are really trendy it seems at the moment.
Your beach huts look fantastic. I can't wait to see the finished result. I think the only way we are going to see the sun this summer is if we sew ourselves one. Have a lovely week. Ali x
I'm also surrounded by lots of unfinished projects - glad its not just me!
I love your beach huts, i'm findings it quite hard to come up with inspirational ideas with our current weather :) no summer till 2016 I hope not lol

I love the beach huts - I aspire to own one but they are the same price as houses locally!
Cant wait to see the final outcome. Knowing us all it will crack the flags when everyone is in work without any holidays
Love your beach huts, Wendy. Never mind the rain, I always enjoy looking at your seaside creations and campervans :)They bring in the summery mood.
Aww the owls are so cute! Can't wait to see what you make.
