Handmade Monday 125

Come on in and make yourself comfy - it's time for Handmade Monday again.

This week I've had visitors to stay - some of whom are quite small and incredibly cute...

and we've had a couple of birthdays to celebrate too (the man of the house and I share a birthday).  I've always suspected his dream job would be to be Batman, so I rustled up a card for him...

I did think about making this as a digi stamp but I think I'd need to tweak it and make it slightly less "Batmanlike" for obvious copyright reasons (even though this is clearly not the original superhero - did you notice the bit of a pot belly I've given him?)

Meanwhile, away from Gotham City, I'm just getting the house back to normal after the delightful whirlwind that is my tiny  granddaughters! Working from home does mean that work goes much more slowly at times like these, but times with babies are precious - so I hope my customers will forgive me for being a little slower to respond than usual.

What has your week been like?  I'm looking forward to finding out so...

Snap, I've had time with my grandson this week so not much crafting from me. Time spent with the children is so precious as they grow up so quickly.
I love your (slightly) podgey batman, happy birthday to you both :)

They do grow up quickly! My youngest son and girlfriend have just left after a weekend with us. Mr B was an Usher at an old school friends wedding- so handsome!
Love the batman belly/ card!

Yes - the photo of them holding hands is *absolutely* priceless! It's all the more so when you realise they hadn't seen each other for six months and Emily (on the left) was extremely shy of Nicole to begin with. In this picture, Emily was taking Nicole down the garden to look at the chickens!

Looks like you've had your hands full this week. I love taking my toddler to see my parents - and occasionaly we see her cousin too - although he's very shy because they don't meet frequently. Love the slightly older Batman card - its like Batman is having a mid-life crisis!

Your grandaughters are gorgeous and its well worth the whirlwind I'm sure. I'm looking forward to my first being born in December and will have Mum and junior here for a while at least. I love the Batman card, copyright would make it difficult to make for sale, but perhaps its worth approaching them and asking?

Very cute photo of your granddaughters. And having watched my husband sunbathing this afternoon, maybe the expanding waistline comes to all our heros.

Wendy
Loving the Birthday Card for your other half. I pinned something similar recently and have been holding on to it for an article about dressing for work.
Thanks for bringing us all together again. Catherine x

Happy birthday! I hope you received a nice card. Love middle-age Batman - it would be perfect for my husband too because when we got married, we had a fancy dress party to celebrate and we went as Batman and Robin. Have a great week x

How silly am I! Just accidentally posted a comment on one of your posts from about a year ago, instead of this one!

Lovely to spend time with little ones, they are so entertaining :)

The little ones look sooo cute. Your right to spend the time with them, it's so precious and passes so quickly. I love the batman card, I hope your other half liked it.

I do love your version of the Batman - I'm sure the real version must be getting on quite a bit, so it's really realistic. Look forward to read the other blogs and so glad to be back!
