Handmade Monday 132

Hello! It's Handmade Monday time again - come on in and make yourself comfy!

The new Craftseller magazine is in UK shops this week...

My contribution to this month's issue was a set of  painted pebbles which I had almost forgotten about!  This was part of their Mummy Makes section - a quick and easy make.  My pebbles were all variations on the ladybird theme.

The pebbles came from my garden, which in turn came from next door's garden.  I probably need to add here that I didn't actually steal them; they were offered to me in wheelbarrow loads.  I remember it as a couple of very hot days when I moved those pebbles and a lot of hard work! But, having always had a thing for pebbles, I couldn't see them go to landfill and I saved my neighbour a fair bit of space in his skip.  They are a little reminder of the beach in my garden.

And, following a good scrub, I had the raw materials for this make, all ready to upcycle!

Painting pebbles is a lot of fun and they could then be made into fridge magnets, paperweights or even door stops depending on the size of the pebble you use.

Also in Craftseller this month is an article on blogging, which might be of interest to most of you!

I notice there's a mention in the article for Planet Penny (Handmade Mondayers will all know Penny!). Penny's blog is always a colourful read, in more ways than one, so it's a very well-deserved mention.

The weekly Papercraft Party is just getting going - this is only its second week - but if anyone makes anything from paper it's another place you can link up.  I'd love to see more people linking to this (and especially using Handmade Harbour digi stamps - look out for another freebie soon!).  The Papercraft Party goes live every Wednesday and stays open till the following Tuesday, so there's always lots of time to join in.  Next week's Papercraft Party has a theme: smile (or laugh!).

Meanwhile, right now it's time for Handmade Monday.  You know what to do...

Aww those pebbles look fantastic. Bet they'd look great in a garden where kids get to play......or maybe not lol.

Ohhh there's no button for the link.

The link goes live at 6pm Anita. Yes, I can see there could be advantages and disadvantages to these in a garden for kids!

lovely pebbles - my daughter is obsessed with ladybirds at the moment, so we might have to see if we can make some ourselves.

Managed to miss Handmade Monday again - doh! Maybe next week! Love the pebbles. They are so friendly looking. I cant wait for my LO to be old enough to do this. Would be better if we lived near a beach (she thinks wistfully!)
