Welcome to another Handmade Monday.
This week, one of my commissions for Craftseller magazine made me realise that Christmas is already over - at least in the magazine world!
I made a Happy New Year card for Craftseller, using the papers that will be given away free with issue 32, alongside a Thank You card.
The card making was a welcome diversion from all the painting I've been doing - my handmade gifts have been keeping me very busy recently! Christmas might well be over as far as magazine commissions go, but it's only just starting for the rest of us (although I do know there are ultra-organised people out there who have already got ALL their presents sorted - which sort of gift-buyer are you? I am pretty much a Last Minute Lil, I must admit).
What have you been making this week? Let us know...

Ohhh lovely papers - look forward to seeing your cards in the magazine :-) I can sympathize with the handmade gifts getting busier... It's definitely going that way here too!
Must be weird working in or with the press and being ahead of yourself - you will be making Easter cards soon no doubt!
Nice papers. I am a bit of a last minute Person too. Will be making madly right up till Christmas!
I used to be a v last minute begging shops to stay open a bit longer for me on Christmas Eve kind of girl but these last few years i've got a lot more organised, almost all of my gifts (mostly handmade) are ready now - not wrapped yet though!
looking forward to seeing your new years card designs :) x
Hello, I'm a newbie here so hoping I'm doing everything right!
I never think too much about Christmas until December, except advent calenders of course (think about them 30th Nov!) but that doesn't really really work out very well for me. I just wish I could be like Little Grey Rabbit and do everything Christmas eve!
The weeks are passing so quickly I keep thinking I have loads of time, I like to think I'm organised but I think I'm a bit of a last minute Lil.

tend to start my Christmas shopping quite early, maybe too early because sometimes forget what I've already bought...keep coming across goodies I've stashed away! x
Lovely well done! wow onto new year already!
Oh, no!!! Christmas is over! I know exactly what you mean, but it's so strange to be about 6 months ahead of the rest of the population. Strange - it's like traveling in time.
Lovely cards and yes for magazines nothing lasts for the time they're meant to they always work at least 6 months ahead.
You're right, by Dec xmas is over in the crafting world. As we should all be sorted by then LOL
Lovely News Years Card :D
I'm done a part from little things for my Nephew ... bought wrapping today. Got a delivery of pressies in the week as bought some nice bits at Debs.

I know what you mean about last minute, I have been so wrapped up in getting Christmas things made to sell, that I have suddenly realised I haven't got anything ready for our Christmas. Hope you have a good week.
Hi Wendy!
Sorry it's been so long.....but I'm baaaack

You sound organised! Christmas is coming fast and we had stockings up (only for photo purposes I assure you) in august!
I don't mind admitting that I'm 100% Not Ready for Christmas - I haven't even got a list never mind done the shopping yet! Loving the card though, especially the clean contemporary look of the thank you card. Great work! :)
