Handmade Monday 167

Hello - welcome to another Handmade Monday!

This week I've had my sewing machine out, busily stitching for Sewing World magazine.

I can't show you too much yet - but it has something in common with the bag I made for my sister a little while back...

Quentin News...
Well, people keep telling me how much my (no, no, I should not think of him as mine!!) gorgeous little guide dog puppy Quentin has grown, and it's clear he's getting bigger (he tries to squeeze under the coffee table and seems to surprise even himself how big he  now is!).  I ordered his second batch of food this week, and got to compare pictures of him next to the food!  This was Quentin at eight weeks...

and here he is at sixteen weeks...

It was also interesting to compare his behaviour each time.  The first time it was just pure luck that I got him to sit still for a photo.  The second time I had complete confidence that he would sit and wait at least long enough for a photo!  I think he knew what was in the bag though - he was very interested in it and gave it a good sniff!

If you use Facebook, don't forget we now have a Facebook group for Handmade Harbour - you can share your own makes as well as get news and updates about the Handmade Harbour shop (digital stamps, party printables and sewing patterns).

It's time for Handmade Monday now and it's over to you...

Wow, Wendy - the change in Q is amazing! I admire you having him as Id' have such difficulty giving him back, even though it's for a great cause. I love the bag, BTW, and will be back later, to add to HM. x

Great to see new blogs last week and so many blogs to visit!

Quentin is nearly doubled in size, that food must be good. It is so rewarding to see them improve with training. One thing I am so glad is I always teach hand signal to my dogs, my current one is going deaf. It has made things so much easier to have those hand signals in place.

Hurry up 6 'o'clock x

Little Quentin is such a handsome fellow isn't he, it sounds like the training is going really well, keep it up!

I love that bag you made for your sister so i'm really looking forward to the big reveal of your latest! :)

Didn't know you had a Facebook group, I'll head over there now!

Quentin is still as cute as ever! Your mystery stitching is looking great too :)

;-D He'll be AS big as THE BAG next time! And likely *holding* IT in the one after that! -- You should send the pics to the Food Company, would make for great "PR".

I love the Quentin updates as much as seeing the craft projects now - what will we do when he moves on to the next part of his training? What will you do? Are you planning to have another puppy or will you have a break?

My how Quentin has grown. I've got out my sewing machine too, I can't wait to see what you're making this time.

He's so cute and well behaved, often as soon as you try and photograph a pup they start walking towards you.

Aww. I think we're going to have to ban you from posting cute doggy pics! At least there was a lovely bag to distract me....
