Last-Minute Christmas Giveaway!

I know this is a bit last minute, but these gorgeous reindeer only arrived yesterday afternoon!

I was delighted to help when Homecrafts offered me these lovely papier mache reindeer for a giveaway - but there's only a short time to run this...

...so, if you'd like to win a pair of these, please leave me a comment right away on this post!  I'll be picking a winner tomorrow lunchtime and I will post tomorrow afternoon if I can contact you in time.  They'll be sent first class, so you should get them in time for Christmas.  The winner will get two reindeer, one of each size. I can post to the UK only for this giveaway (sorry to all my other readers - there will be other giveaways coming up soon!).

What would you do with them?  I think they'd look good painted white, with some printed book pages or sheet music torn and decoupaged...maybe a raffia bow and a silver bell at the neck?

I would paly safe and have one red, one white with a ribbon bow round the neck. They would look great in my kitchen! Thanks

These are lovely - I think that I would them either a distressed paint effect or cover them in varigated gold leaf - how dazzling would that be.

oops think that my first comment got lost (I know you are on moderation but I clicked an got error message). Why does it always happen to me!
This is a lovely give away - they are so sweet. I would either give them a distressed paint effect or cover with a varigated gold leaf - for a bit of Christmas bling!

I think these handsome reindeer would look right at home in my shed that overlooks the woods. Whilst they keep look out for me I could decide how best to decorate them!
Happy Christmas

They would look great covered in some Kate Spain Flurry fabric, modge-podged on :) but I like your idea of rafia bow and silver bell and even as they are - awesome!

Eu pintaria de vermelho, com alguns detalhes em branco na parte de cima para dar um ar de neve, e colocaria na minha sala cá de casa, esperando ver o ar de espanto do meu neto de 2 ano quando a visse.....

abraços de MF

I paint it red, with some details in white on top to give an air of snow, and put in my office here at home, hoping to see the air of astonishment from my grandson two years when he saw her .....

Ooh - they are lovely. I think first of all I'd use them to make a cardboard template I could use to make some felt reindeer - they have great antlers. Then I'm torn between decoupaging them and covering them in glitter. Perhaps one of each!

I like Swallow Barns idea about using them to make templates, then I think I'd cover one in sequins and cover one entirely in silver bells. I don't know that I'd be able to pack them away after christmas so they might have to become a permenant feature!

I think I would paint them white and leave them to dry, then give the big one to my 4 yr old son and the little one to my 2 yr old son. I'd provide paint, glue, glitter and lots of other sparkly, colourful bits and bobs and ask them to decorate them. They would no doubt look truly awesome when my boys had finished with them and would be treasured for many years to come!

Definitely some sparkles involved and they'll go great with my mum's magical wonderland of christmas decorations and ornaments.

I've just found Mod Podge, and I'm so exited about it, as there are many different finishes (just hope I can buy them in the Uk) anyway I think I'd paint the reindeers, then coat them with Mod Podge & decorate with blue glitter, seal with another coat of Mod Podge & tie blue & white Christmas baubles around their necks.

I have some lovely flowery paper that I'd use to cover them, perhaps with the addition of a little glitter.

Hi Wendy
I'm entering for my 3 yr old nephew Nicholas who is into paper mache now! I expect it'd be painted in an array of colours!!!!
