This week's challenge is: Christmas is Coming!

Would you like a peek at what the design team have been doing with this theme?  They all used images from the Christmas digital stamps selection -and I just love what they did with them.

Valerie used Reindeer with Santa Hat.  Valerie said: "I chose to keep my card simple this time, so the focus would be on this really adorable reindeer image".  I love what she did here, don't you?

Laura used the Cute Christmas Robin digi and said "I think this little Robin is so sweet, even though I colored him more like a canary color. :-) "

Actually, I think he looks like a gorgeous robin and not at all like a canary!!  He may be slightly pale, but he's instantly recognisable!!

Connie made a gorgeous scrapbook layout, and showed us that the Christmas digistamps are perfect for Christmas-themed layouts.  I love the mix of bright Christmassy colours with the subdued naturals here..

Mary made a super sweet gift tag using one of the Christmas tags and sentiments that come all as one digital stamp

Back to cards with Anita, who made quite a few, all of which are very lovely indeed!  Christmas is definitely the time for multiple card making!

Last (but definitely not least) kel  made some super-sweet blue Christmas robins - I love them in this colour!

Handmade Monday 141

Hello and welcome to Handmade Monday.

My granddaughter Keira tells me we have to start making something else soon, as we've made too many cushions!

Her bedroom is now apparently full to bursting with cushions.  I think we made so many as they are a perfect project to help a beginner to get used to a sewing machine - with quick and happy results!  The gorgeous fabric on this one was from Wholeport.  I used it for my sketchpad pouch, and Keira pounced on the leftovers for her latest cushion!!

But what next?

Any ideas?  I think we still need to keep it fairly quick and simple, but perhaps she's ready to step it up a gear!

In the meantime, it's getting busy here with orders over at my 1st Unique Gifts site.  Is it getting busy for you too?  If you have time...

OK,  just in case you might like a little inspiration this week, here's what the design team have been busy doing with the Having Fun theme...

Valerie used Robin Family on a Branch digistamp, using a 3D layering technique - I love the bright colours in this card, which gives it a real sense of fun!

I know a lot of cardmakers are completely immersed in Christmas cards at the moment - so it's no surprise that we have not just one but two Christmas cards from the team this week.

Anita's card features the penguin with presents digi and the delicate colours she's used here look just delightful...

This Funky Monkey digital stamp obviously has a sense of fun as he turned up on no less than three different designers' cards this week!  Here's what  Laura did with him:

Connie made a tag just in time for Halloween.  She says: "I found my inspiration from Angie Blom.  I met her at a crop and I recreated and added to a tag she had as a make and take. I added 2 of Wendy's stamps to this tag."

It's a gorgeous tag, isn't it?

Rachel used the witches at the cauldron digital stamp - and this one definitely qualifies for Scary and Funny too!  The wording reads: there are vegetarians coming over so it's eye of newt substitute...

The design team have all used images from the Halloween digital stamps page this week, which are not only seasonal but they all fit our theme this week!

Mary's mind is obviously on Halloween...I love how this looks, with the witches in front of a full moon!

Laura is a girl after my own heart - this sewing machine digistamp looks fab with the background of pieced stitching (I'm not sure if they are fabric or paper, but they look amazing!)

Look what Lynne has made this week (below) - I must admit I had never thought of being thankful for piles of laundry (ha! and definitely not for ironing!) but maybe this card will make me think about it from another viewpoint!  I must admit this particular washing line looks really pretty with all the gorgeous colours and sparkles!  

It's a gorgeous card, whether you can bring yourself to be thankful for laundry/ironing or not!!

Val also has her mind on Halloween - this card below is just so pretty, don't you think?  I love the detail - and just look at how the witch's gown and hat seem to shine - absolutely beautifully done.

Connie has made a delightful card, combining two digis, which would be a good card for Moms/Mums everywhere!  So sweet!

I also love Connie's witches - don't you?  That wording says: there are vegetarians coming over so it's eye of newt substitute.  The wording is included in the witches and cauldron digistamp.

Another Connie has made a beautiful scrapbook page - I love the pretty girliness of this one!

Last but not least is kel's card - these cats on cushions speak of happy days to me, how about you?  Pop over to kel's blog for more.
